Planned Gifts
Leave a Lasting Legacy.
The most common donations are outright gifts, such as cash or check. But many people prefer to hold on to their assets for now to be sure that they can meet their family's future financial needs. That's why it's good to know that "planned gifts" or "deferred gifts" are excellent alternatives to outright or current gifts which still provide a meaningful charitable contribution.
Planned or deferred giving is a powerful tool to help people donate significantly more than otherwise possible. The easiest and most simple deferred gifts are created through wills and trusts. No matter the particular structure, all contributions to the NWACC Foundation are investments in the education of generations to come.
Deferred gifts typically provide donors and beneficiaries with tax benefits including the reduction of capital gains tax, minimizing or eliminating gift and estate tax, and producing tax efficient income streams.
